Lukas 1:38

Kata Maria: "Sesungguhnya aku ini adalah hamba Tuhan; jadilah padaku menurut perkataanmu itu." Lalu malaikat itu meninggalkan dia.

PROCEDURE FOR ATONEMENT OF SIN

  •  Sign of the Cross (After entering the place of recognition, receiving the sacrament of penance kneeling / sitting and making the sign of the cross and say):

Penitent:
In the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

  • Greetings from the priest

Priest:
May God enlighten your heart in order to confess sincerely.

Penitent:
Amin

(If the confession were children, the priest can also be said):

Priest:
Lord Jesus love children. He wants to live in your heart. Hopefully you can be a good confession.

Penitent:
Amin

 

  • Penitential Liturgy

Priest:
Please now you confess your sins

Penitent:
Father, my last confession ....... (specify when your last confession or if you have not been to confession say: Father, this is my first confession).
My sins are ........ (mention your sins). I am sorry for my sins, and I respectfully ask for forgiveness and penance useful for me.
 
After one confesses their sins, the priest might give some advice to them and then give them a penance–an act of making amends, usually a few prayers offered to God. They then ask them to say the formal prayer the act of contrition.
 
Penitent:
God the Merciful, I am sorry for my sins. I really should Condemn, especially since I have no allegiance to thee who mahapengasih and benevolent to me.
I hate to be all my sins, and promise with the help of Thy grace about to improve my life and will not sin again. Mahamurah God, have mercy on me, a sinner m. Amen

  • Absolution

Pr:est:
God the Father of mercies, through the death and resurrection of your son, you have reconciled the world to yourself and sent the Holy Spirit among us for the forgiveness of sins. Through the ministry of the church, may God grant you pardon and peace. And I absolve you of your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  1. It would be better if you make an examination of conscience before confession (MB it 225-227 No.. 59)
