RESURRECTION OF CHRIST: THE RISE OF THE UNIFICATION OF FAITH AND WORK

RESURRECTION OF CHRIST: THE RISE OF THE UNIFICATION OF FAITH AND WORK
By RD Benno Ola Tage

Each year the Catholic Church celebrates Easter. In Passover, we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, our Lord. This is the central theme of the celebration of Easter. This theme will never shifted in the celebration of Easter. Thus, all the rituals of Easter, such as the Easter candle, renewal of baptismal promises, the celebration of the Eucharist and the choice of Scripture readings never changed from year to year. Easter celebrations are arranged in a sequence that has become a tradition in the Catholic Church.
In celebration of Easter we reflect on the resurrection of Christ our Lord. The mystery of the sacrament of baptism has brought us to the status of the disciples of Christ. With this, we have fellowship with Christ in his suffering, so that we obtain the resurrection from the dead (Filp.3 :10-11). This is the fruit of Easter. With the celebration of Easter, we gain eternal life. We live in the power of Christ's resurrection.
But it is also the Easter celebration keeps touching certain themes to make our world a handle on life. In Easter 2013, we found that the theme of deepening APP in 2012, we find the theme of Easter to our lives today. Lenten theme is "Respect Work." Because revival is expected to occur within Catholics today are awakening to appreciate the work.
The reason why CardinalRatzinger chose the name Pope Benedict XV1

When CardinalRatzinger elected to replace Pope John Paul II, he chose the name "Benedict." Since there are already 15 people popes named Benedict, hence the nickname given to him is Pope Benedict XVI. Each new Pope must have a good reason why a particular name chosen saints. Cards. Ratzinger familiar with the history of the life, works and spirituality of Benedict's life.
Benedict was a priest, founder of the monastic life "kontempalatif" the first in Europe. Rules of monastic life are made by Benedict is the first rule of monastic life in Europe. Benedict lived from 480-547. Spirituality alive
Christian followers of Benedict lived, often called the Benedictines have changed Europe into a cultured, civilized, Christian and nuanced humanity regardless of race and nation. Benedictine monasteries in future be known as a center for science, research to produce pharmaceuticals and agricultural technology, the technology to make beer. In short, the source of knowledge, progress comes from the Benedictine community. Europe to be advanced in the Christian life of faith, hard work ethic, discipline and respect for life time, the spirit of martyrdom and pengkabaran gospel. Everything is due to the spirit of the Christian life is driven by Benedict and later by his followers. The famous motto of Benedict, is ora et labora (Pray and Work)

By choosing the name "Benedict XVI", Pope Benedict XVI is being relaunched Benedict's spirit alive in the Christian life in Europe. Pope Benedict XVI stressed the need for the Christian spirit revived within Catholics. Ora et Labora That spirit.
In one conversation Pope Benedict XV1, he said that one of the whales was the spirit ingingkan Work (work ethic), disipin united with the spirit of the Gospel and the life of prayer blossomed again in Europe. There are symptoms, morale, discipline weakened in European society. When emerging lifestyle where there are people who do not work, but they have money invested, whether they are still considered work? The fact they live worthy of the investment and other people working for them. In one dokomen pastoral work about saying these people actually do not work or stop working when just enjoy the investment. So they still are required to work or increase social activities to help others.
Pope Benedict XVI wants the job continues to rejuvenate our dignity as Son Allah.Pekerjaan belief that there is a relationship with God in our lives, "Ora et Labora."
Work re-interpret in the light of Christian faith
The world today is driven by people who bekerja.Orang school to someday be bekerja.Tetepi something sad happening. There are people working for it.They work merely to make a living. Work no longer has to provide for the spiritual power in the human mind. Day of the day, at night going to bed, lay people as human beings can capai.Orang tired and happy to be working, to reach the target, and go home with the money, but if they are happy people. Physical and mental fatigue are not obliterated by money or results. Everything was soon gone, and we re trying to accomplish. Is that what the Lord requires that we work?
Moreover, we see that people become rich materially but not the work: corrupt, a fraud in business, robbing and stealing. Or we might have a situation not unlike the country's social conditions-century wooden image 19.Dalam Kawanabe Kyosai's work, part of a series Isoho Monogatori mid-1870s, Kyosai named the sluggard is the regulator of money, the merchant foul, loan-sharking the unrelenting suck earned another person. The sluggard high hat, tie and non-Japanese speakers.
God still wants us to work.We should work.God also does not want our work to lose weight to maintain a relationship with Him. It is precisely through the work we find TUNAN and closer to God. The job has a value rohani.Seperti spiritual values in scripture reflections, Worship us moves us to work harder. We must know what we are working as a Christian who works.
The devil does not want people to work. The devil whispers into the ear of Judas, to earn money by not working. But by betraying Jesus. Satan moves the crowd to find Jesus because they had eaten the bread of Jesus without works (Yoh.6 :26-27) Yes, idleness is the devil pillow, so quote the inscription on the car of the late P.Antony OFM.cap Brevoort.
The march in this direction, the Indonesian Catholic Church determined that the Lent of 2013, we reflect on the theme: "Creating a prosperous life." New work can generate welfare (born and inner-spiritual), if the work was experienced as calling our souls. We are not for our ego boost to be richer than another, or to have money and a certain material. We did not work because we are jealous of, ambition and envy. We work because we are the conscience of inner strength to push ourselves to work.
If you work as a vocation, we are working not depend much we earn. Although we have lived a decent and adequate wages or salary then the spirit of our work to remain stable or to remain high. Whatever the conditions outside ourselves, we keep working.
So it is appropriate that the first material in 2013 APP deepening materials, namely, God wants man to work. Work is God's will (Kej.1 :26-29). That's what we call work is call our soul. As long as there is a soul in our bodies, we are still working. So in the light of the Christian faith, there is no such thing as retirement. Even a home that just menyirim flower pots around the room, yet it is still a job. And he did it as a vocation. Because God willed that man remain employed.
God has designed a law in the universe by saying that only by working men embody the image of God himself. "My Father works until today, and I also worked (Yoh.5: 17). For the work, we become God's partner in realizing the ideals of God. Partners mensejahteraan God in our fellow human beings, nature preserve and maintain the integrity of creation.
Occupation as vocation we just continue maintain in a way that a balance between prayer and work. So we shared our resurrection in Easter of 2013 was the rise in living up to our work is the call of the soul. Whatever type of work. As long as they are not against the Catholic faith, Catholic morality, love. Rise up for work. This is our Passover. Happy Easter 2013.Alleluyah!
