WAKE UP, REALIZE, and INTROSPECT

WAKE UP, REALIZE, and INTROSPECT
BY: RD. BENNO OLA TAGE

A tragic story of a teenager who lives in Ambon, a few years ago. After lunch after school, he sat relaxing under a palm tree in front of his house. Coconut was about 6 feet high. Suddenly a coconut apart and menimpah head. The teenager died at the scene. Tragic is not it?
The teen's waking conscious alias (not sleep) but he did not realize there was a coconut that almost fell. Condition of the coconut fruit is beyond his knowledge. Because he does not know and aware, then he is less alert or introspective. This story gives us an experience that we conscious and alert, when we were under a tree, or were sheltering under a building.
Today in celebration of our worship, the Lord Jesus told the parable of the enemy who sowed weeds, and the owner's discretion to allow the wheat fields and the weeds grow together (Matthew 13: 24-30). The meaning of this parable is found in Matthew 13: 37-39. "One who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world. Good seed royal children and children ply evil. Enemy who sowed weeds is the devil.
This parable convey that message to his disciples and us, which realizes the demon continued to work until doomsday to sow the seeds that produce crime and sin in our personal lives, the lives of families, communities and society as well. The way it works is not known, was designed and implemented in the darkness.
Maybe we blame God, why do we fall into temptation and sin. Why crime has damaged our household or our parish. But remember, God allow Satan to destroy Job's life to test the authenticity of Job in faith. Lord Jesus sleeping in the stern of the boat when a storm nearly drowning out his disciples to test their faith (Mrk.4: 35-41).
Read all Scripture quotations taken, then we increasingly understand what it means to live as a man who wakes up, conscious and introspective / alert. So do not let your eyes fall asleep but remember all the advice (Ams.6: 01-19). We are the children of light are not doing jobs in darkness (Ef.5: 1-21), and let us not fall asleep but just in case (1 Tes.5: 1-11). Devil wailed looking for prey (1 Pet.5: 8.9).
Wheat was never turned into a passing though the wheat from the tares are squeezed in all directions. But Godan-temptations, gambling, revenge, murder, drugs, alcohol, and all other crimes, can change into a good guy bad guy. For example, a sweet child into a child's drug addiction. Love ya .. true tragic fate ... And he arose, Repent, and be aware that we already know from the Lord Jesus through the parable today that we can fall prey to the devil anytime and anywhere.
Believe me, God is not sleeping. Even the Spirit of the Lord helps us in our weakness (Rm.8: 26-270). God is a just judge (Kebij.12: 13.16-19).
